About The Role. This role is for Nights, full time 33 or 44hrs per week, working over a seven day rota.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of every action and is reflected in care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain the highest standards of care and influence the rest of the team.
You will:
* show how to use a walking frame and support residents at mealtimes or at the end of life with compassion
* talk to residents’ families and coordinate communication
* assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities
* administer medication where required
* maintain accurate records of your work and build strong team relationships
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and contribute to strong team relationships.
Qualifications and Requirements
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, a background in person-centered care planning, and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You’ll know what good record keeping looks like, be able to manage your time effectively, and communicate with residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
