As the Technical Specialist, you will often act as a team leader for onsite technical teams, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets the highest standards of client satisfaction.

This position reports directly to the Technical Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Technical Events Manager, depending on your region and function.

Key Job Responsibilities:

* Secure internal and external resources needed to successfully deliver each project, including coordinating with freelancers and suppliers.
* Assist in creating technical drawings using Vectorworks.
* Use simulation software like D&B ArrayCalc to design PA systems tailored to the event's specific needs.
* Prepare and communicate planning documents (e.g., patch sheets, flow diagrams, equipment lists) to ensure smooth execution and delivery.

Audio Responsibilities:

* Be an advanced user of Yamaha, DiGiCo, and Allen & Heath mixing consoles, particularly for large-scale corporate events.
* Take ownership of building and tuning PA systems—line arrays/distributed point source systems including D&B, L-Acoustics, and Martin Audio.
* Coordinate, deploy, and monitor Shure and Sennheiser RF mic and IEM systems.
* Program and interface multiple wired and wireless comms systems, including GreenGo, Clear-Com, and RTS, ensuring seamless communication across all departments.

Video Responsibilities:

* Full understanding and operation of advanced switching systems for large-scale events, including Barco E2/S3, linking multiple switchers when necessary.
* Plan, design, and install multi-blended projection systems using Barco, Christie, and Panasonic projectors, along with their relevant software systems.
* Lead the design and implementation of complex, multi-screen LED display builds, utilizing multiple processors.
* Delegate tasks effectively across large-scale projects to ensure timely delivery of all video aspects of an event, from initial planning to on-site execution.

Lighting Responsibilities:

* Be competent and comfortable in operating at least one console family out of Avolites, ETC Eos, or MA.
* Capable of performing basic fixture maintenance and repairs to ensure lighting systems are fully operational.
* Some experience using CAD design software such as Vectorworks, Capture, Wysiwyg, or AutoCAD for designing and planning lighting layouts.
* Experience in working independently and as part of a team onsite to ensure seamless integration of lighting into the overall event production.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience working with advanced audio, video, and lighting systems for live events.
* Expertise in mixing consoles, PA systems, RF mic/IEM systems, video switching systems, and lighting control systems.
* Strong knowledge of event technical design software, particularly Vectorworks, D&B ArrayCalc, and CAD tools.
* Experience with large-scale projection systems, LED display builds, and multi-screen video setups.
* Ability to lead technical teams and provide guidance and support throughout the event lifecycle.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing event logistics and technical requirements.
* Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality service to clients.
