As a Traffic & Highway Engineering Apprentice, you'll assist our engineers and designers on a wide range of traffic and transport projects. You'll learn how to develop, design, and deliver engineering solutions that support active travel, public transport, and safer road networks.
* Assist in the preparation of design drawings, plans, and supporting documents using CAD and design software.
* Support the delivery of highways, traffic engineering and active travel schemes, from concept through to detailed design.
* Help collect, analyse, and interpret traffic and transport data.
* Contribute to highways design, signage layouts, and streets design
* Participate in site visits to gather information and observe existing conditions.
* Assist in preparing technical reports and presentation materials.
* Maintain project records and support general project administration.
You'll work as part of multidisciplinary teams and gain hands-on experience using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. Over time, you'll take on more responsibility as your skills and knowledge develop.
