Overview
Product Manager - Retail at Kärcher Chile. This role focuses on developing data- and insight-led category strategies, managing product launches, pricing, and cross-functional collaboration to drive category performance.
Responsibilities
* Develop data- and insight-led 1, 3 & 5 year category strategy plans aligned with wider business objectives. Measure and report performance to senior management, both in the UK and internationally.
* Create comprehensive launch plans for all new product launches in the UK, leading cross-departmental teams to guarantee successful market entry.
* Develop product and price positioning, lead statements, key selling points (KSPs), features & benefits, and points of difference for existing and new products.
* With support from Product Management Coordination, track and analyze sales performance using data such as Sales-in, EPOS, GFK, ATV and margin to make product, promotion and marketing recommendations.
* Carry out annual category reviews and present updated strategy and plans to key internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with Online and Retail sales teams to understand market and retailer opportunities and challenges; provide proactive recommendations based on research and category plans.
* Oversee copy and content creation for Kärcher Consumer categories and products; liaise with Marketing to ensure assets support channels and overall product strategy.
* Document and present decisions/recommendations from competitor research; support the wider Product and Marketing team with desktop, field and product test analysis; report findings to the wider business and internationally.
* Manage all product information creation and data entry for owned categories; support colleagues in other departments as required.
* Act as a product and category champion, delivering presentations, training and insights to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
* Liaise with Head Office (Germany) colleagues, especially Product Management, to provide feedback and influence wider company decisions.
* Work with logistics and stock control to manage shipping, stock and forecast requirements in line with category plans.
* Attend retailer and internal meetings to influence and support category performance objectives.
Qualifications
* Marketing or business qualification desirable
* Experience in category planning, pricing strategy, project management and competitor insight/analysis
* FMCG/consumer product and marketing experience in a fast-moving environment
* Confident and strong communicator with a planned and structured approach
* Ability to build relationships internally and externally
* Innovative individual who can challenge the norm
* Driving licence essential (attending events when required)
