AG Hotels Group is seeking a proactive and organised Events and Meetings Coordinator to join our team at Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow Hotel, Handforth. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and delivering successful events and meetings at Pinewood on Wilmslow Hotel. You will work closely with clients to ensure their events run smoothly, while upholding our high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the coordination and organisation of meetings, conferences, private events, and corporate functions within the hotel.
* Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored event solutions.
* Prepare event proposals, coordinate event logistics, and provide accurate quotations.
* Manage room layouts, audio-visual equipment, catering arrangements,
* Act as the primary point of contact during events, ensuring smooth delivery and addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
* Prepare detailed function sheets and event contracts to ensure clarity and accuracy, event billing
* Conduct show rounds for prospective clients and promote the hotel's event facilities, including weddings.
* Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
* Support the Hotel team in cold calling and generating new business opportunities, with a focus on promoting weddings and corporate events.
* Ensure monthly event and sales targets are met consistently.
* Creatively plan and organize special events such as "Pinewood Nights" and "Family Fun Day" to engage the local community and generate leads.
* Assist with event invoicing, administration, and detailed reporting of performance metrics.
* In quieter periods for Meetings & Events (M&E), actively support other hotel departments, such as Food & Beverage (F&B) and Reception, to ensure smooth overall operation.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience in event coordination, preferably within the hospitality industry.
* Knowledge of event management processes and health & safety compliance.
* Good numeracy and administrative skills.
