Location: Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon areas
Contract: Temporary
Pay Rate: £ per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm, with possible additional hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays

About the Role
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting for a Groundsperson to join a local government outdoor spaces maintenance team across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon areas.
The successful candidate will work under the general direction of a Head Groundsperson or Team Leader and will be responsible for carrying out both basic and skilled grounds maintenance work across parks, playing fields, landscaped areas and open spaces.
This role will involve working flexibly across different locations within the Borough and supporting the care and maintenance of buildings, sports equipment, sports facilities, general amenity areas, parks and play areas.
Key Responsibilities
2. Carry out grounds maintenance duties across parks, playing fields, landscaped areas and open spaces
* Operate commercial grass cutting machinery and grounds maintenance equipment
* Support amenity horticulture work across public outdoor spaces
* Assist with sports ground maintenance duties
* Help maintain parks, play areas, sports facilities, buildings and general amenity areas
* Work individually and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
* Carry out duties to the required quality and within agreed timescales
* Provide customer care services at parks and sports grounds
* Develop skills in the use of plant and equipment
* Work flexibly across different locations, hours and duties within the Borough
* Follow safe working practices at all times
* Support the positive appearance, safety and upkeep of local outdoor spaces
Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
3. A minimum of 12 months' experience in at least two of the following: commercial grass cutting machinery, amenity horticulture or sports ground maintenance
* A full current UK-valid driving licence, including Category B
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision
* Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safe working practices
Desirable Criteria
It would be desirable to have:
4. NVQ Level 1 Amenity Horticulture or equivalent
* Pesticide Certificate PA1
* 12 months' customer care experience
