Mechanical Fitter - Machine Builder
Location: Mansfield
Hours: 7.30am - 4.00pm
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000

The Role:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in assembling machinery after manufacturing, both mechanically and electrically, to ensure it is ready for internal and customer acceptance testing. You will collaborate closely with the design team, project engineers, and fabrication teams, managing both individual and team projects, and working to improve machinery standards and internal processes.
Responsibilities:
* Assemble machinery (mechanical and electrical) based on provided drawings
* Setup machinery to meet customer-specific requirements
* Commission equipment internally, ensuring readiness for customer acceptance (internal training provided)
* Provide feedback to the design team to streamline processes and reduce build times
* Work with project engineers and fabrication teams
* Attend project meetings as needed
* Oversee machine build and testing processes
* Support the ISO 9001 Quality System
* Participate in company exhibitions and events
* Carry out additional tasks as required by management
Requirements:
* Proven experience in machinery build or maintenance
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Engineering qualification (level 3 or equivalent)
* Experience in electrical panel wiring (desirable)
* Hands-on assembly experience with fixtures and fittings
