GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to join schools in the Sheffield (S17) area. As a Sports Coach, this role is perfect for someone who can inspire pupils through physical activity, build confidence, and promote positive attitudes towards teamwork, health, and wellbeing. Responsibilities as a Sports Coach: Plan and deliver engaging sports and physical education sessions. Support pupils’ physical development and encourage active, healthy lifestyles. Foster teamwork, discipline, and confidence through structured sports activities. Assist with behaviour management and provide support during classroom sessions where needed. Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate sports into wider learning objectives. Support pupils during extracurricular clubs, sports events, and break times. Requirements for Sports Coach: Previous experience coaching or working with children or young people is desirable. A recognised sports coaching qualification is advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
