Overview
We have an exciting opening for a Fire Engineer or Senior Fire Engineer to join our firm in our Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester or London offices. Competitive salary + benefits.
Hoare Lea is a human-centric and planet-conscious engineering consultancy. We offer intelligent and sustainable solutions to complex design challenges for the built environment throughout the UK and further afield.
We provide a wide range of engineering and consultancy services, including acoustics, air quality, building services (MEP), fire, lighting, security and sustainability to name but a few. Together, our highly skilled teams use technical expertise and problem-solving skills to bring buildings to life. We ensure that whatever the building, its design is outstanding, and its operations meet the needs of the communities it serves.
Being part of Hoare Lea means an environment where everyone can realise their unique potential, with opportunities for training, development and flexible working. We offer a 9-day fortnight scheme, diverse social and networking events, extensive professional and technical development schemes, and an extensive benefits package including private medical cover, electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, stock options, and up to 30 days of annual leave.
As part of one of the UKs largest building engineering consultancies, we collaborate with top engineers and have access to state-of-the-art technical support, working on some of the UKs largest and most high-profile projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The Fire Engineering group has invested in training and research, including computational and numerical modelling, emerging fire risks, new techniques and fire testing. We recently led the design and implementation of large cross laminated timber (CLT) compartment fire tests in France to validate our calculations for a sustainable timber office building project.
We support Chartered Engineer development and provide extensive training and development opportunities, including weekly sessions, away-days, innovation days, and access to external training and conferences. We place emphasis on enabling our team to achieve Chartered Engineer status via a structured programme.
We are active in organisations such as the Society for Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Smoke Control Association, BSI Group and Institution of Fire Engineers.
