Safety Engineer
The role offers an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of safety management and safety case delivery, including safety requirements capture, hazard identification, and analysis.
All industries are considered, with transferable skills into Defence sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, R&D / Test, Oil & Gas, Rail, Maritime, and Shipbuilding.
What you’ll be doing
1. Working as part of an Integrated Development Team to develop and deliver systems/capability.
2. Supporting Hazard Identification and Analysis studies.
3. Assisting with or generating safety reports.
4. Liaising with other Integrated Development Teams and the Whole Boat Safety Team.
Skills and experiences
* Understanding of Safety and Systems Engineering principles.
* Ability to adapt to changing working practices and customer expectations.
* Self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of ALARP, HAZID, or HAZOP methodologies.
* Experience with safety analysis techniques such as Fault / Event Tree Analysis or FMEA.
