Our client, a national charity, is looking for a Community Engagement Officer to support the delivery of awareness campaigns and community engagement initiatives across the UK.
This role is highly people focused and public facing, with a strong emphasis on attending recruitment and community events, speaking with members of the public and building meaningful relationships with community groups and organisations.
You will act as an ambassador for the charity, helping people understand the organisation’s work and encouraging individuals and communities to take part in awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives.

As a Community Engagement Officer, you will:
* Attend recruitment and community events to promote awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives
* Speak with members of the public, community groups and organisations about the charity’s work
* Build positive and supportive relationships with individuals and families involved in community campaigns
* Deliver presentations and information sessions at community venues, workplaces and events
* Coordinate and support outreach activities designed to increase community participation
* Work closely with volunteers and partners to maximise engagement at events
* Maintain accurate records of engagement activity within internal CRM systems
* Work with internal teams to support the promotion and delivery of engagement campaigns
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in community engagement, outreach, events or public facing roles
* Confidence speaking with members of the public and presenting to groups
* A warm, personable and empathetic approach when engaging with communities
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
* Excellent organisation skills and the ability to coordinate multiple events and activities
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
