The role could work well for someone studying or qualified AAT or studying towards ACCA. You could also be qualified by experience.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping for a group of businesses
* Handling accounts payable and receivable
* Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
* Ticket account reconciliations
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Payroll processing
* Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
* Liaising directly with clients and stakeholders
* Supporting year-end preparation and working closely with Fractional FD
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
About You
* Good academics, potentially studying AAT or ACCA/ QBE (not essential)
* Previous experience in a bookkeeping/accounts assistant or finance manager role
* Strong understanding of day-to-day accounting processes
* Comfortable managing multiple entities or clients
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero or similar)
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a proactive approach
Working Pattern & Location
* Based near Hitchin - 3 days in office (rural, must be a driver)
* Hybrid working available
* Approx. 2 days per month in clients London office
