We’re working with care services across Gateshead who are looking for compassionate, reliable people to support adults with additional needs. You don’t need years of experience, just kindness, patience and a genuine interest in helping others live safely and confidently.
What you’ll be doing
Your days will be varied and meaningful, supporting residents with:
* daily routines, personal care and independence
* emotional reassurance during tougher moments
* activities that build confidence, communication and wellbeing
* gentle, patient support for those with autism, learning disabilities or complex needs
* working with a team who care about getting things right
You’ll be a steady, familiar face who helps create a safe and warm environment.
What makes you a great fit
You’ll suit this role if you’re:
* calm, caring and good at listening
* patient and able to stay steady when things feel challenging
* interested in people and how to support them well
* reliable, trustworthy and committed to helping others live well
Experience in care, youth work, support work or SEN schools is helpful, but not essential. The right attitude matters most.
