Established in 1990, S&C Foster a part of the Lanes Group Limited offer customers both domestic and commercial tanker, jetting and liquid waste removal services. Known as Fozzy's, we provide professional and environmentally friendly services across the North West.
About the Role
We are looking for a HGV Class 2 driver to work on a full time basis for days on our waste water contracts operating throughout the North West working out of our site at Tarleton, close to the city of Preston.
Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the North West of England. A phone will outline the navigation for the routes and jobs whilst working.
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK drivers licence is required holding no more than 6 points. A valid Class 2 is also required. Full training will be provided.
Location: Tarleton, Preston
Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 30 min unpaid break. Increased pay for overtime hours worked.
Salary: £34,500-£37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter over standard hours and time and a half on weekends.
Responsibilities
* On site, as part of a team
* Lone working in the vehicle of the cab
* Excellent time management
* Flexibility as start times could be between 04.00am-06.00am
* On call 1 weekend in 6
* Daily vehicle checks
Qualifications
* HGV class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
* Valid in date CPC (desirable)
* Experience with working with tankers is desirable
* Full training required will be provided
