Applications are invited for a post CCT fellow in devices, with an option to include either heart failure or ICC as an additional sub-specialty.
This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and would suit a registrar with their CCT looking to further enhance their experience in devices including complex device implant, pacemaker lead extraction, sub‑cutaneous ICDs, leadless devices and conduction system pacing.
In addition to cath lab work, there will be opportunities to provide outpatient clinics, support the care of inpatients under the devices team, and to attend and present at the devices and endocarditis MDTs.
Whilst there is no on‑call commitment attached to this post, there will be opportunities to gain experience in general cardiology on‑call (consultant level) in a supportive environment.
Main Duties Of The Job
* Pacemaker implantation for bradycardia devices, CRT, ICD, CSP, and Micra devices. The department also has an extraction service that the successful candidate can be involved in.
* Outpatient clinics.
* Assisting with in‑patient management for patients under the care of the device team.
* Attending and contributing to MDTs.
* Attending formal cardiology education programmes and conferences as appropriate to level of seniority and training requirements.
