About The Team
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Simulation & Analysis Product Lead to join our Digital team, part of the Product and Innovation group. We are transforming how the industry delivers and maintains urban environments by building momentum around our Origin platform, which enables engineers and consultants to leverage project design data and real-world building performance data.
About The Role
We are developing several products and features under the banner of “Analysis” as part of the Origin ecosystem, including:
* Kaleidoscope: a machine-learning tool to accelerate early-stage design analysis
* SAM (Sustainability Analytical Model): a toolset for rapidly creating simulation models and outputs
We are seeking a Product Lead for Simulation & Analysis with a broad background in building physics and simulation, as well as machine learning, analysis, data science and research. You will bring experience in computation and machine learning within architecture, engineering or construction, and digital product management to transform how we solve client challenges.
You will play a key role in developing computational, machine learning and AI-focused features for the Origin platform, prioritising features with stakeholders and collaborating with software developers to deliver and deploy them. Your work will help create an ecosystem that harnesses Hoare Lea’s specialist expertise.
Collaborating with the Director for AI, you will lead efforts to apply Machine Learning and AI to advance computation and engineering. You will drive the evolution of the firm’s Digital and AI capabilities and lead research of generative AI advancements with the Digital team.
In this role you can expect to:
* Develop new features and improve existing capabilities that support analysis – calculations, simulations, machine learning predictive modelling
* Ensure correct prioritisation and quality of feature delivery
* Own initiatives in this space and scale existing projects
* Support academic engagement and R&D with higher education partners
About You
To be successful, you’ll need:
* Demonstrable experience as a product lead or in a related role delivering complex data-driven projects
* Experience with statistical models and algorithms
* Experience with simulation and analysis tools in the built environment
* Ability to research, horizon-scan and validate new ideas and technologies
* Self-awareness, open-mindedness and collaborative mindset
* Experience supporting others to develop knowledge, skills and confidence
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Agile product management
* Working knowledge of Python or similar
* Testing and evaluating ML/software solutions
* Product ownership experience
