This organisation is known for its trauma-informed, holistic approach and its commitment to empowering individuals affected by domestic violence. Their Community Domestic Abuse Support Service operates across Sandwell, Dudley, and Walsall, offering tailored, high-impact support to those at high risk of harm.
Your new role
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA), you'll deliver frontline support to victims of domestic abuse, focusing on those at high risk. You'll assess risk, develop safety plans, and advocate for clients within a multi-agency framework, including representing them at MARAC (Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences). You'll provide both one-to-one and group support, helping victims understand the dynamics of abuse and regain control of their lives.This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm), located in Dudley. Hybrid working is not available.
What you'll need to succeed
1. IDVA qualification and/or experience of managing a case load of supporting vulnerable people.
2. Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Health and Social Care).
