Ob Purpose
A brand ambassador ensuring effective communication of the brand culture and values across the store. Delivering and exceeding sales targets through leading and managing a team to deliver the brand customer experience. Maximising efficiency of store operations to ensure overall profitability of the store.
Primary Responsibilities
Store Profitability and Operations
1. Manage the P&L and KPI plan for the store, focusing on controllable costs (eg rotas, payroll, stock loss) and maximising sales and profitability
2. Manage the rota and scheduling of the store ensuring it is managed within the targets set and is compliant with the VS processes and procedures
3. Ensure merchandising and visual standards across the store are set to the company standards and always executed with the customer experience in mind and with clear distortions to best at categories; Bras & Fragrance
4. Manage store stocktakes, repricing, sales and promotions, liaising with Head Office functions and District Manager ie. operations where support is required
5. Own and manage the stock control processes ensuring compliance to minimise risk and loss
6. Ensure all employees within the store act safely at work and are compliant on all policies, including health and safety
7. Engage with and ensure the store is taking part in change programmes taking place across the district and wider business
Customer Focus
8. Build a store environment that is focused on continuous improvement and delivering an exceptional bespoke customer experience that is centred around the brand values
9. Manage customer queries, feedback and mystery shops, identifying trends and opportunities at store level to improve customer experience and maximise performance
People and Talent Development
10. Own the People KPI Targets for the store ensuring they are monitored, maintained and increased/decreased where needed
11. Train, manage and coach employees to deliver an outstanding customer experience
12. Set the daily / weekly store direction ensuring all employees are set up for success and ready to deliver customer excellence
13. Responsible for employee wellbeing and engagement within the store, creating a platform for active listening and ensuring the team are engaged in their roles and with each other
14. Recruitment of roles within the store and overseeing a positive onboarding experience for all
15. Conduct performance and development reviews with the management team ensuring they are supported, developed and their performance is managed appropriately
16. Responsible for ensuring a robust training and succession plan is in place for the store
17. Managing employee relation issues within the store, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are followed and advice is taken from the People Team as an when required
18. Encourages inclusion & diversity with the store for team member and customers; building trust and encouraging diversity of thinking without fear and creating environments where people can be empowered
Skills and Experience
19. Experience in a fast paced retail environment at a similar level with a record of maximising sales and profit, leading and managing a team and owning operational procedures and targets
20. Able to receive information and share it succinctly with others
21. Interpersonal skills that can be used to manage and lead a team, and build and develop valued relationships across the store, District and overall business
22. Manage with with integrity, honesty and an approach that is aligned to the company values/direction
23. Adaptable and flexible with the ability to deliver results personally and through others
24. Actively looks for opportunities to self develop by seeking new experiences
