If you know your way around a forklift better than most people know their morning coffee order, this could be the role for you.
Our Client is on the lookout for a skilled Forklift Engineer to join their team, working across a variety of client sites to keep gas and diesel forklifts running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. No two days are the same—one day you’re servicing, the next you’re the hero fixing a breakdown.
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
1. Keeping forklifts in top condition with routine servicing and inspections
2. Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure safety and compliance
3. Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
4. Responding to breakdowns and getting equipment back up and running
5. Maintaining clear and accurate service records
6. Sharing your expertise with customers to help them get the best from their equipment
✅ What We’re Looking For
7. Experience as a forklift engineer or industrial vehicle technician
8. Forklift certification (RTITB, ITSSAR, or similar)
9. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent)
10. Solid understanding of LPG and diesel engines
11. Good working knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, and electrics
12. Health & Safety awareness (CSCS, IOSH, or NEBOSH a bonus)
13. Full UK driving licence – you’ll be on the move
