A international law firm is seeking a commercially astute Senior Associate to join its Real Estate team in London. Ranked in the Chambers and Partners Real Estate £150m+ category, the team is recognised for advising on some of the most significant and complex transactions in the market.
The successful candidate will advise a diverse client base on high-value real estate matters, working closely with colleagues across planning, construction, finance, and corporate teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting, advising and negotiating:
* Licences to assign, underlet, and for alterations
* Agreements for lease (including those conditional on works or planning)
* Commercial leases for landlords (investment properties) and tenants
* Deeds of variation and rent deposit deeds
* Sale contracts for freehold and leasehold sites, including conditional and lease-backed sales
* Supporting portfolio sales including asset and share transactions
* Liaising with lenders in relation to purchase financing
* Supervising and mentoring junior team members
Candidate Profile:
* Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial real estate
* Experience working in a top-tier real estate practice is highly desirable
* Strong technical knowledge and experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of real estate documents
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Proven ability to manage complex transactions and supervise junior lawyers
