CAT Scan Tech, Certified - Sign On Bonus Eligible
Responsible for providing quality diagnostic CT examinations and nursing care to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Schedule and prepare patients for CT scans of anatomical areas as per physician request, ensuring safety and comfort. Monitor patient condition and provide nursing care as needed.
2. Interview patients regarding sensitivity to contrast material, review records for contraindications, obtain consent, and gather relevant medical information.
3. Operate equipment using established protocols, monitor functionality, and troubleshoot as necessary.
4. Prepare patients for venipuncture, insert IVs, and administer contrast agents. Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainages using aseptic techniques.
5. Compile and analyze data for image quality and completeness. Transfer images to films and CDs, and prepare patient files for interpretation.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree in Applied Science with Radiology, plus at least six months of relevant experience or equivalent.
* CPR Certification required.
* ARRT certification required.
* Certification in CTD required.
