Description
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller / Group Accountant will:
* Lead the monthly consolidation of group accounts across multiple trading entities
* Own technical accounting, audit preparation, and compliance processes
* Support M&A integration, including acquisition accounting and systems harmonisation
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with operational teams
* Help implement and optimise the ERP system for group-wide reporting
* Identify and deliver process improvements across reporting and controls
* Play a key role in shaping the future finance structure as the group scales
Profile
The successful Financial Controller / Group Accountant should have:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience
* A background in multi-entity, multi-site environments
* Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach and strong commercial awareness
It would also be beneficial if you have:
* Experience in a Private Equity-backed business
* Exposure to M&A and post-acquisition integration and alignment of processes and systems.
Job Offer
* Base Salary: of £70,000 - £85,000 + benefits, depending on experience
