Are you looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Overview: Lead all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects, focusing on profitability, legal and contractual compliance, and proactive management of commercial issues. Oversee applications and valuations, ensure prompt payments, and align activities with company policies. Play a key role in guiding commercial strategy and project success from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights to maximize profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Lead contract preparation, negotiation, and finalization. Ensure contractual obligations are met and legal risks minimized.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Supervise procurement, evaluate bids, select subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value and strategy alignment.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Oversee valuations, payments, final accounts, and profitability reporting, identifying risks and opportunities.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks to safeguard the company's interests.
The Ideal Person:
* Degree qualified or relevant qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Proven senior experience managing multiple high-value projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices
* Advanced contract law, building regulations, and safety knowledge
* Excellent commercial, IT, communication, negotiation, and time management skills
* Social Housing or maintenance background preferred
