We are seeking an exceptional and ambitious financial leader to join Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) as our next Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our organisation. BHRUT serves around 40% of North East London’s two million residents and manages over £1bn of revenue and approximately £50m of capital each year, making this a role with significant scale, reach and impact.
The Trust is focused on improving value for money and steering the organisation towards a sustainable, break-even financial position, making this a role with both scale and purpose.
Main duties of the job
As CFO, you will bring a deep understanding and demonstrate extensive experience of NHS finance along with strong strategic insight. You will have previous experience of financial improvement as well as being able to work collaboratively with clinical leaders to balance patient quality, service delivery with financial stability. You will have track record of developing teams and embedding a culture of high performance and inclusion.
As a full voting member of the Trust Board, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering a financial strategy that underpins high-quality care, operational excellence and long-term organisational stability. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned financial leader to influence the future of a large, diverse and ambitious Trust, driving improvement across a fast-growing and highly diverse health system with significant need and complexity.
