A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a junior chef to work within a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.
The Role
You will be a key member of the catering team to ensure that the catering operations run smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch and dinner times. You will prepare, cook and serve food for approximately 1,200 guests, always adhering to procedures. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, temperature checks and allergy management.
The role is working 5 days out of 7 – 42 hours per week – overtime available. Shift patterns will either be 5:30am – 1:30pm or 1:30pm – 8:30pm. Christmas off.
The Ideal Applicant
We are looking for an experienced chef from a high-volume background, with some experience managing or supervising within a busy environment.
Qualifications
* Food Hygiene certificate
* City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
* Supervisory qualification preferred
This role is subject to a DBS check which is subsidised by the client.
