Please note this is a fixed term position for 2 years Working hours: 35 hours per week Interview Date: 22nd September 2025 Poplar Salvation Army Church & Community Centre is looking for a Community Centre Manager who will be responsible for the operational management of the Corps community centre buildings and land, and the development, delivery and evaluation of community centre programmes to deliver the specific missional plans of The Salvation Army in Poplar and Tower Hamlets. Your Key responsibilities will include: Manage and oversee maintenance of the physical infrastructure of the Corps buildings and land to enable the delivery of programmes, activities and mission. Assess the needs of the community and make recommendations for the overall community centre programme agenda in alignment with the Corps Mission Development Plan. Plan, design, implement and evaluate specific programmes to ensure they are fit for purpose for the local community. Develop effective working partnerships with internal mission development teams to ensure programmes are designed and implemented in alignment with best practice principles. Lead on establishing links to the community and any relevant external agencies to maximise the effective delivery of programmes to the community. Ensure that both employee and volunteer resources are appointed and developed to deliver programmes effectively.
