The role
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be a key leader within our Project Management Office (PMO) in the ISTAR & Cyber business area. You’ll lead a team managing a portfolio of projects across government contracts, ensuring successful delivery.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee operational management of project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, providing high-quality products and services to our customers.
* You’ll manage end-to-end delivery of complex projects throughout their lifecycle, supporting customers from requirements capture to delivery and handover.
* You’ll apply robust project management methodologies to ensure quality, consistency, and accountability, regularly reporting project performance to senior management.
* You’ll implement project controls related to risk, financial management, change, and stakeholder engagement, aligned with Babcock and APM standards.
* You’ll oversee the strategic and operational management of the PMO, including personnel management, workload balancing, and recruitment support.
This is a full-time role (37 hours/week) based on-site at Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Agile working and flexible arrangements, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing, may be available; please discuss options during the interview.
Essential experience
* Extensive project management experience
* Experience with complex engineering projects preferred
* Defense and security sector experience highly desirable
Qualifications
* APM Project Professional Qualification (SCQF Level 9), PMQ, PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent
* Current, valid DV Security clearance

The successful candidate must be a UK national with current, valid DV clearance, capable of obtaining and maintaining Enhanced Developed Vetting (EDV) clearance.
