Media Studies Teacher Location: Bristol Contract: Full-time Start Date: ASAP or from Easter 2026 About the Role We are looking for an inspiring and creative Media Studies Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Bristol. You will play a key role in delivering a dynamic and engaging Media curriculum across Key Stages 4 and 5, supporting students to develop the analytical, technical and creative skills needed for success in a modern media landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to high-quality teaching and innovative practice within a supportive and collaborative department. What We're Looking For A PGCE in Secondary Education (Media Studies or a related subject). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable. Strong subject knowledge in Media Studies, including contemporary media forms, theory and production. A passion for engaging students with creative, practical and theoretical media work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Media Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5. Prepare students for GCSE assessments with well-structured and challenging lessons. Support students with both theoretical content and practical media production tasks. Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities within the department. Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policies. Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment. Why Join Us?
