This is a permanent day shift position, ideal for an experienced technician seeking stability, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on a diverse and modern fleet. The company operates a high-quality fleet that includes Van Hool, Irizar, and newly ordered Neoplan coaches. With the business expanding and new vehicles arriving, the workshop is looking to grow its small but experienced team. You will be working alongside two existing engineers in a well-equipped, efficient workshop. Whats on offer: Annual salary of up to £50,000, based on a 45-hour week at £22-£24 per hour DOE Standard Monday to Friday hours (8am to 5pm), with no regular weekend working On-call rota (1 in 4 weekends), with: £50 per day retainer (Saturday/Sunday) £25 per night retainer (weeknights) Standard hourly rate for any call-outs Opportunity to work on a wide variety of vehicles and expand your skillset in a hands-on environment A supportive management team and a friendly, small workshop culture Key Responsibilities: Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a fleet of coaches Fault finding and diagnostics using modern tools and systems MOT preparation and safety inspections Responding to breakdowns during on-call shifts Working independently and alongside team members to ensure a high standard of fleet availability Candidate Requirements: Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle or Bus and Coach Maintenance (IMI or equivalent) Proven experience as a PCV Technician or HGV Mechanic in a commercial workshop Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities Reliable and able to work unsupervised PCV licence is desirable but not essential This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety and takes pride in their work.
