The Laboratory Assistant(s) will be based at the Rapid Diagnostics laboratory, located in Abingdon, South Oxfordshire.

This role requires the individual to facilitate the timely, accurate processing and management of biological samples submitted from customers, for toxicological analysis.

It is the responsibility of the Laboratory Assistant to route the samples for the appropriate analytical tests, based on the specific requirements of the customer.

Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Preparation fluid samples for analysis, within agreed timeframes
* Ensuring all equipment used is within current specifications
* Accurate data entry, including relevant scanning and archiving
* Logging 'discrepancy' samples
* Sample logging, storage and disposal
* Adherence to quality systems
* Continued participation in training programmes across Laboratory Operations to develop and increase breadth of understanding of the operation as a whole
