Meraki Talent have been engaged to assist with the acquisition of a Team Leader – Accounts for their Chartered Accountancy client.

Offering a comprehensive spectrum of solutions to our clients, encompassing accountancy, corporate and individual taxation, Payroll and VAT, as well as business advisory and consultancy services.
The Role
In search of an experienced Accounts Professional to manage a client portfolio within their accounting team. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT returns. Proficiency in cloud accounting is a must. This individual will assume complete responsibility for their assigned client portfolio and provide support to firm's designated partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Managing a personal client portfolio.
* Guarantee the efficient operation of the portfolio, including:
o Oversee the entire client experience from initiation to conclusion.
o Coordinate with clients for the collection of timetable data.
o Ensure that assignments are completed within the agreed schedule and budget.
o Address and resolve any questions or issues that may arise.
o Maintain excellent communication with both clients and the team.
o Take a leadership role in client meetings and discussions.
o Issue fees in a timely manner and manage work in progress (WIP).
o Keep internal workflows up-to-date.
* Provide coaching and support to other team members as needed.
* Deliver client training.
* Undertake any other suitable tasks as directed.
Experience
* Experience of working within a practice environment.
* Post Qualified / Newly Qualified ICAS, ACCA or equivalent.
* Demonstrated expertise in the preparation of year-end financial statements.
* Technical expertise, along with a demonstrated track record in generating accounting reports.
* Proven proficiency in year-end accounts production software, with a preference for CCH, as well as familiarity with cloud-based bookkeeping software such as Xero, Sage Business Cloud, and QuickBooks Online, including their related applications.
* Experience in utilizing practice management software.
* Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
