Overview
We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy individual to join our Portering team at Bowmere. The successful post holder must hold a full clean driving licence, as the role involves driving our patient transport vehicles. The working pattern is 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday. This contract is a permanent position. We are looking for a person who can demonstrate good communication skills, and work well as part of a team. Role and responsibilities
* Transport patients for appointments, home visits, transfers etc., ensuring safe and appropriate transport.
* Contribute to a reliable porter/driver service as part of the transport team.
Qualifications and skills
* Full clean driving licence (essential).
* Good communication skills, empathy and patience when dealing with service users.
Training, support and terms
* Full training and uniform will be provided.

* New starters commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme, which offers up to 3 weeks training.
* DBS check: applicants pay for their DBS check; costs are deducted from salary after appointment. You may enrol in the DBS Update Service (small annual fee applies).
