About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Senior / Principal Electrical Power System Engineering Consultant — Batteries and Renewables to provide expert power system consulting services in the field of Batteries and Renewables. As a Senior / Principal Electrical Power System Engineering Consultant — Batteries and Renewables, you will collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to assess technical requirements, develop electrical designs, and provide specialised guidance on electrical power systems aspects of Battery and Renewables projects. Your expertise in power systems, energy storage, and electrical design will be instrumental in ensuring the successful integration and operation of Battery and Renewables solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients to understand their energy storage goals, project requirements, and electrical infrastructure considerations related to Battery and Renewables installations.
2. Conduct technical assessments to evaluate the feasibility and compatibility of Battery and Renewables solutions with existing electrical systems and grid connections.
3. Provide expert advice on electrical engineering aspects of Battery and Renewables projects, including system design, equipment selection, protection schemes, and grid interconnection requirements.
4. Develop comprehensive electrical designs and specifications for Battery and Renewables installations, considering factors such as voltage levels, power capacity, equipment ratings, and safety regulations.
5. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of Battery and Renewables systems with other power systems components, such as generators, renewable energy sources, and distribution networks.
6. Interpret load flow, short circuit, and harmonic studies results to analyse the impact of Battery and Renewables integration on power system performance and recommend mitigation measures if required.
7. Assess and recommend appropriate energy storage, renewables technologies and battery chemistries based on project requirements, performance characteristics, and cost considerations.

10. Collaborate with contractors and construction teams during the installation and commissioning phases to ensure adherence to electrical design specifications, safety protocols, and project timelines.

12. Support clients in the procurement process, including evaluating bids and proposals, reviewing supplier qualifications, and providing technical input during contract negotiations.
13. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates related to Battery and Renewables electrical engineering, providing strategic recommendations and best practices to clients.
14. Willingness to stay updated with industry advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
15. Flexibility to travel to client sites and project locations as required.
