The role
As a Technical Training Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of defence capability. You’ll design and deliver high-quality technical training for both internal teams and external customers, ensuring our people are equipped with the skills they need to support mission-critical operations.
Day-to-day, you’ll develop and deliver training courses for new equipment and services in line with the DSAT process. Additionally, you'll be:
1. Conducting training needs analysis to identify practical and cost-effective solutions
2. Collaborating with engineering, product development, and operations teams to gather technical insights
3. Attending meetings on behalf of the Training Manager to assess training implications and risks
4. Managing key and crypto material accounts in accordance with security protocols
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.
Essential experience of the Technical Training Instructor
5. Communicating effectively across teams and stakeholders
6. Working proactively and flexibly within a small, focused team
7. Understanding of data communications or engineering - desirable
8. Experience working alongside UK military customers - desirable
9. Royal Navy background - desirable
Qualifications for the Technical Training Instructor
10. Minimum NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
