Henderson Technology, creators of the award-winning EDGEPoS software, offers innovative Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) solutions for retailers. This role involves being the primary contact for new and existing UK customers, enhancing relationships, and improving their experience with EDGEPoS.
A look into the role…
To support our continued growth within the GB market, we are recruiting for 2 new field based Business Development Managers. The successful candidates will have full autonomy to expand our customer base in a largely untapped region, supported by our Newtownabbey operations team in Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will be a skilled negotiator, able to understand customer needs, manage multiple sales opportunities, and close deals within deadlines.
Additionally, they will be capable of providing live demos of EDGEPoS.
Working as Business Development Manager you will:
* Generate new leads and develop new business making cold calls
* Account Manage a strong existing client database.
* Demonstrate capabilities of our award winning EDGEPoS.
* Develop and execute a sales plan that provides complete territory coverage.
* Attend, exhibit and present at events in line with Henderson Technology partnerships.
* Grow business within preferred EPOS supplier partnerships currently in place
Skills for Success
Joining us as Business Development Manager the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
* Demonstrated experience as a sales professional with a strong focus on business development.
* Proven history of achieving targets and budgets, effectively maximizing business development opportunities.
* Established ability to manage and drive multiple sales opportunities concurrently.
* Consistent success in closing deals within expected timeframes.
* Full valid UK/EU Driving license

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Self-motivated and ambitious individual, able to work independently.
* Strong Team player, with a customer-focused mindset.
* Ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
* Able to work on your initiative, analyse and problem-solve.
It is Desirable if you have:
* A Third level qualification in IT, Business-related studies or relevant field
* Proven experience selling SaaS into the retail and forecourt sector
* 3 years’ experience of direct software sales

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
