As a Credit Controller, you will join our credit control team. Your duties will include handling credit assessments, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will report directly to the Credit Control Manager UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring regular payment cycles within the company's trading terms via telephone and correspondence.
2. Allocate credit cards to customer accounts and provide accurate, timely statements.
3. Maintain an audit trail on customer accounts to track their status and cash collection.
4. Recommend control actions on dubious accounts, such as "Stop" or legal proceedings.
5. Improve the company's bad debts and debtor days ratio by reducing debt aging.
6. Collaborate with Credit Controllers, Administrators, Sales, Finance, HR, SOP, Customer Care, and other functions.
Requirements:
* Experience in a high-volume environment.
* Professional, tenacious, and highly motivated attitude.
* Assertive telephone manner.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
* Sound administration experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Sage 1000 experience is desirable.
