Electrical Team Leader – Industrial Projects
Location: Rugby & surrounding areas
Rate: £22.61 per hour + overtime
At NPP, one of our leading industrial engineering contractors are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Team Leader, to support a major long-term food manufacturing contract based around the Rugby area, followed by ongoing project work across multiple regional sites.
This role is ideal for an ambitious electrical professional who is looking for clear, structured progression into an Operations Manager position within 6-12 months, with continued development and salary increases thereafter.

The Role
You will lead the delivery of electrical installation and small works projects typically valued between £15k–£35k, supervising a site-based team of approximately 5 engineers, while working within a larger engineering operation across multiple industrial sites.
Initial works will be site-based in the Rugby area before moving onto a variety of regional industrial projects.
Projects are mainly focused on lighting, power and control systems in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities

Leading electrical installation works in industrial/manufacturing environments
*
Managing small works projects from quotation through to completion
*
Producing RAMS and project documentation
*
Planning labour, materials and plant requirements
*
Liaising with client engineering and project teams
*
Carrying out site audits to ensure SHEQ compliance
*
Supporting, mentoring and supervising your team
*
Fault finding, testing and modifying control panels
*
Reading and working from electrical schematics and drawings
*
Completing timesheets and site documentation accurately
What We’re Looking For
*
Strong background in industrial electrical installation
*
Manufacturing / FMCG / food-sector experience highly advantageous
*
Proven experience supervising electrical teams
*
Confident working with control panels and automation systems
*
Organised, adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines
*
Strong communication skills
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
*
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
*
Sound knowledge of BS 60204 (machinery & control panels)
*
Confident in testing and fault diagnosis
*
Experience managing subcontractors is beneficial
