Driving Instructor – Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service Location: Training and Development Centre, Bodymoor Heath, B76 9JB Are you passionate about road safety and skilled in driver training? Do you want to make a meaningful impact by helping emergency service personnel operate vehicles safely and confidently? Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a dedicated Driving Instructor to join our Training and Development team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety by delivering high-quality driver training across a range of service vehicles. What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering initial and refresher driver training for LGV and emergency service vehicles. Designing and implementing bespoke driving courses. Assessing driving standards and providing constructive feedback. Supporting the development of computer-based training packages aligned with DVSA and VOSA standards. Advising on vehicle legislation and best practice. Maintaining accurate training records and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies. What We’re Looking For: Essential: A clean UK driving licence with categories B, BE, C, D1, D1E (held for at least 3 years). DVSA-approved driving instructor qualification (or working towards it). Assessor qualification in competence assessment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience driving a range of vehicles and handling training data. Desirable: Level 3 Award in Learning & Development (or willingness to work towards it).
