Overview
We are looking for a part-time colleague to join our team for 25 hours a week spread across 4 days. Supporting the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists with the rehabilitation patients in the acute respiratory team based on the medical and surgical wards at Harrogate District Hospital. The post involves performing hands on interventions and any relevant administrative duties.
Patients will mostly have medical and surgical conditions. They will be needing rehabilitation and practice of functional abilities so that they can achieve their potential before going back out into the community to live.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, forward thinking therapy assistant to join our Acute Respiratory Team.
The team comprises physiotherapists and occupational therapists working with patients with a variety of conditions. The role of the assistant is to support the therapists in the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of these patients, back into the community in a timely manner.
It is important that you are organised and can work under pressure, along with having good computer based, written and verbal communication skills.
In return you will receive regular support with the experienced and friendly team, and lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills.
At Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust we provide ‘outstanding’ care to both our patients and our staff. We support staff through benefits, health and wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for personal and professional development.
