About the Role
Our client is seeking a Vocational Studies Teacher specialising in Construction. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching to pupils with complex needs.
The role focuses on engaging and re-engaging students through a personalised and supportive learning environment, helping them achieve positive outcomes and prepare for life beyond education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual needs
Support pupils with SEND, trauma backgrounds, and behavioural challenges
Use assessment data to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies
Promote social, emotional, and academic development using therapeutic approaches
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff Requirements
Experience teaching vocational subjects, ideally Construction
Proven experience working with pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in specialist settings
Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning
Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable with a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
