We’re currently looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join schools across the Thetford area as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while making a genuine difference in pupils’ everyday learning and development.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils with a variety of academic, social, and behavioural needs.
You’ll help create a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils feel encouraged, supported, and ready to succeed.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils during lessons to improve focus and participation
Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
Promoting positive behaviour through encouragement and consistency
Helping maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with teachers and staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing
This is a practical, people-focused role where no two days are the same — but the impact you make will always matter.

Positive role models with a confident and approachable manner
Flexible and comfortable working in different school settings
Strong communicators who work well as part of a team
Previous experience in education, childcare, care work, coaching, or youth support is helpful, but not essential.

Essential Requirement
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between schools may be required at short notice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
