* Define, plan, and implement operations to manage satellite configurations, maintaining their health, safety, and functionality, including coordinating activities among engineering teams.
* Assess and report on satellite health and performance through daily monitoring and trend analysis.
* Respond to satellite contingency situations by assessing status, performing triage, and directing recovery operations following incident management protocols.
* Diagnose problems, determine root causes using techniques like 8D, 5 Whys, fault tree analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
* Maintain satellite operational products, including telemetry and telecommand databases, alarm limits, and control procedures, validating updates with satellite simulators.
* Develop and maintain reference data sets and software applications for satellite health monitoring, including AI and analytics tools.
* Ensure training plans and certifications are current; provide training and courseware as needed.
* Collaborate with support teams and satellite manufacturers to investigate anomalies and develop operational solutions.
* Generate reports on technical analysis, anomalies, satellite health, and other regulatory or operational reports.
* Contribute to new satellite programs through systems engineering, operations development, and validation activities.
* Support ground control system requirements, testing, and compatibility assessments for new satellite programs.
* Assist in evaluating spacecraft procurement proposals.
* Support other company goals and initiatives as required.
Specific Conditions of the Role:
* Availability for on-call support during evenings and weekends, including potential travel to Satellite Control Centres outside regular hours.
* Required clearance and export control approvals, with personal information submission for compliance.
* Occasional overseas travel may be required.
Qualifications:

* Experience in the space industry, particularly in satellite operations or spacecraft engineering.
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize work flexibly.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in satellite operations, especially as an in-orbit spacecraft engineer.
* Degree in Space Engineering or related field.
* Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems (Power, Thermal, Attitude Control, etc.).
* Experience with specific spacecraft platforms (e.g., Lockheed Martin Series 4000, Airbus E3000, Boeing 702, Maxar FS1300).
* Proficiency with analytical tools like Matlab, Excel, Tableau.
* Programming skills, especially in Python, for data analysis and tool development.
* Knowledge of GCP Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, and machine learning deployment.
* Experience working with spacecraft manufacturers on satellite operations.
