We are recruiting full-time and part time SEN Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with additional needs across Bath and North East Somerset in a range of educational settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils in learning through assisting students in accessing the curriculum by adapting materials, breaking down tasks, and providing tailored support to suit individual learning needs.

• Providing support with behaviour by implement behaviour management strategies, promote positive behaviour, and help students develop self-regulation and social skills in a safe and structured environment.

• 1:1 support for students. Working closely with individual pupils who require additional assistance, building strong, trusting relationships and supporting their academic and emotional progress.

• Working within a team, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a consistent and effective approach to each student’s development and wellbeing.

Skills and Qualities:

• Experience with SEND preferable, experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is highly desirable, including autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with pupils, staff, and parents, adapting your approach to suit different needs and situations.

• Implementing a calm, understanding, and compassionate approach when supporting students who may face challenges in learning or behaviour.

• Reliability and commitment shown through a dependable, proactive attitude and a genuine dedication to supporting students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
