Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a friendly disposition, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli selections.
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate deli equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Restock products as needed to ensure availability for customers.
- Collaborate with team members to provide a seamless shopping experience.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills are required;
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service is essential.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and safety practices.
