We are now seeking a hands on Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Airport (CF62 3BT). This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong commitment to first-class service and an outstanding employee experience.
In this role, you will oversee a small maintenance function with only one team member to manage a long standing colleague who knows the property extremely well and requires minimal supervision. This allows you to focus on practical, hands-on maintenance work while providing light-touch leadership.

Key Responsibilities Carry out hands-on maintenance work throughout the hotel, ensuring all tasks comply with health and safety legislation.
Provide guidance and support to the maintenance team member, who is well established in the company and familiar with all property systems.
Ensure day to day repairs such as changing sockets, light switches, taps, basins and general upkeep are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Maintain a clean, organised workshop and manage hotel inventory including tools, supplies and equipment.
Oversee the maintenance of plant, building fabric, fixtures and fittings.
What Were Looking For Solid practical knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, hot water systems; experience with HVAC, boilers, painting, or tiling is an advantage.
A hands on, proactive approach with strong communication skills.
A team player who can take ownership of their workload and lead with confidence but without heavy managerial demands.
Experience delivering excellent customer service.
Professional, composed, approachable and able to build strong rapport with guests and colleagues.
