Project Engineer – Mechanical Equipment\n\nGloucester\n\nUp to £47,000 per annum\n\nPermanent Position\n\nOverview:\n\nWe are seeking a technically capable Project Engineer to support the delivery of mechanical and electrical plantroom equipment. This role will focus on coordination of technical deliverables, submittals, vendor information, and project documentation, playing a vital support role for the Engineering Manager and Project Manager.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssist in producing and managing technical documentation including:\n\nP&IDs, layout drawings, schedules, data sheets, and submittals.\n\nReview vendor and supplier documentation for compliance with project requirements.\n\nTrack and respond to technical queries (RFIs), action logs, and interface issues.\n\nLiaise with procurement and fabrication teams to ensure technical alignment.\n\nCoordinate with subcontractors and fabricators on drawing approvals and material requirements.\n\nMaintain project document control in line with internal systems.\n\nParticipate in inspections, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and final quality checks.\n\nExperience and Skills Required:\n\nExperience in a project engineering or mechanical coordination role within M&E, HVAC, or Special Purpose Equipment.\n\nGood understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment.\n\nExperience working with suppliers and subcontractors in a technical capacity.\n\nFamiliarity with interpreting technical drawings, piping schematics, and fabrication models.\n\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage technical documentation.\n\nCertifications/Technical Knowledge:\n\nUnderstanding of QA/QC procedures and mechanical fabrication standards.\n\nFor more information, please contact Rory McStay
