The Role
A vacancy has arisen for the post of Pre‑press Assistant to work within the Production/Technical Department at our Chesterfield site.
This role will provide support to the Production/Technical department by safe storage and distribution/preparation of all cutting tools and printing plates to maximise production efficiencies. Maintain accurate records to show all movements of items under your area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* General manual handling.
* Basic computer tasks.
* Understand and work to high Health & Safety standards, including reporting any H&S issues.
* Comply with Quality and Hygiene specifications and requirements.
* Experience within a manufacturing process operation is preferred.
Key Skills
* Excellent time management with a flexible approach to work.
* Good computer skills: Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
* Accuracy and attention to detail with good communication skills both written and verbal.
* Able to work within specified guidelines and targets and under own initiative.
* Self‑motivated and able to work under minimum supervision.
* A strong work ethic and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Understanding of basic numerical data to operate to required production standards.
* Good team‑player ethos – able to work as part of a crew and on their own.
* Self‑motivation and good organisation skills.
* Good attention to detail.
