About the Role
The project comprises of the delivery of a full mechanical and electrical (M&E) fit‑out within a banking facility located in Canary Wharf, London. The works are undertaken within a high‑profile commercial environment with stringent quality, and programme constraints, requiring careful coordination with various sub-contractors. The scope included the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical and electrical systems to support the reconfiguration of office, operational, and client‑facing areas. Mechanical services works comprise of new HVAC systems, fire suppression, distribution, controls integration, and commissioning to meet current operational and comfort requirements. Electrical works included new power distribution, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, and earthing systems, together with integration of existing infrastructure where required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to extend the role and become a full-time member of the Apex Core team.
Responsibilities
* Manage M&E works packages
* Oversee programme, risk, and documentation to ensure deadlines are met.
* Coordinate stakeholders and lead meetings with clarity and confidence.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and site safety standards.
* Drive quality assurance, testing, and commissioning readiness.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Strong technical understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
* Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualification
* SMSTS or NVQ Level 6/7 in construction management
* CSCS Card
* Proven ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in construction management, programme control, and risk management.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts (advantageous).
* Well-versed in CDM regulations
