The role is located in Brisbane Australia, only 1 hour drive from the site to the Gold Coast

* 5 + years heat treatment experience
* Hands on experience with seal quenches using endothermic atmosphere for neutral and case hardening
* Vacuum furnace experience in tool steels - hot work, cold work and HSS.
* Experience in calibrating electronic / electrical measuring instruments such as pyrometry / temperature / heat / thermocouple / measuring instrumentation to NADCAP / AMS2750 requirements.
* Experience in vacuum brazing of steel and aluminium desirable but not essential
* Experience with final inspection of treated products, Rockwell, Vickers and Brinell Hardness testing
* Forklift operation
* Tasks and responsibilities include:
* Perform heat treating according to customer, quality or HTA specifications.
* Relay all necessary information regarding ongoing heat treat operations to other operators when changing shifts or leaving the area.
* Keen to participate in a continuous improvement and Nadcap focused environment.
* Experienced in various material testing processes
* Ability to communicate effectively within working environment
* Flexible approach with willingness to work as part of a team
* Keen to participate in a continuous improvement and Nadcap focused environment.
* Good communication skills
* Ability to train less qualified employees in the heat treat process.
* Must be flexible and willing to work in other areas as needed.
* Willing to learn, use common sense and be ambitious.
* Maintain clean safe work environment.
