Permanent Medical Veterinary Surgeon – Chichester, West Sussex

We are recruiting on behalf of a state-of-the-art animal hospital in Chichester, West Sussex for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon who has a bias in medicine to join their team, working between two branch hospitals. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 7:30am and 7:30pm, along with 1 in 6 weekends with 2 days off in lieu. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
This is an independent practice offering a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment along with offering a highly experience team of Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses. The team comprise of Vets and Nurse with advanced certificate training.
This is an opportunity for a Vet to use all their veterinary skills and experience in an ECC environment, looking after emergency patients and hospitalised inpatients.
The practice is committed to delivering a high standard of clinical care and strongly believe in case continuity. They are dedicated to developing good working relationships with both referring Vets along with clients so that a precise treatment strategy can be moulded to such each patient.
The role will provide veterinary emergency and critical care outside of the hospital hours. The Vets will be working with an experienced RVN all night, plus have the support of a second RVN on a twilight shift until 2am. There are no day weekend shifts, our shifts on a rolling basis and nights only.
The practice offers state of the art operating facilities, ultrasound, endoscopy suites, dog and cat wards and onsite parking.

About you:
* You will always deliver a high standard of clinical care
* Ideally you will be an advanced practitioner in Emergency and Critical Care or an experienced ECC vet who has worked in veterinary hospitals
* You will have excellent customer facing skills
* You will work well within the team alongside other veterinary specialists and clinicians
* You will be passionate and dedicated to ECC work
* You will be a passionate and motivated veterinary surgeon with a genuine interest for animal welfare
* For experienced Vets you will offer mentoring and coaching where required and share best practice
* You will be ambitious to develop your clinical skill set and knowledge
* You will enjoy working within a busy practice with a wide variety of cases
Package:
* Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
